These pieces were created at the request of a great couple in California and are exclusive to thier club."This tsuba pendant is reflective of the sword hardware that has become associated with Suio Ryu Iai Kenpo¢ç, a koryu founded around 1600. Under the direct, oral teachings of Soke Katsuse Yoshimitsu Kagehiro ( Shizuoka City , Japan ) students practice drawing the sword and cutting (iai), paired forms (kumi-iai), jo kata and other traditional weapon arts. In the US, Suio Ryu is centered in Southern California (US Shibu in Anaheim, CA) with study groups in California, Washington, Nebraska, Ohio and Rhode Island."
